coaches are allowed on the field during offense (1st base, 3rd
base coaches boxes, the pitcher coach, and behind the catcher. Only the Manager will be allowed to approach
the umpire.
The
team on defense will be allowed to have two coaches in the outfield to help the
defense stop the runners and make outs.
All players will play defense, with only 6 players allowed on the
infield and the rest at least 15 feet behind the dirt infield.
The
adult pitcher cannot coach, yell, or say anything out loud to any runner or
distract the defensive team. After the
first warning, on the second occurrence the adult pitcher will be removed from
the mound. The removed pitching coach
can become a base coach. The adult
pitcher coach must avoid a live ball unless the defensive team throws the ball
to the pitching coach. If the pitching
coach refuses to catch or appears to allow the ball to pass him/her the umpire
shall declare the ball dead and place the runners at the appropriate base. If the pitching coach continues to cause a
problem, the umpire shall remove the pitching coach and replace that coach with
another coach.
Each
batter shall have 6 pitches to hit the ball.
Strikes and balls do not matter.
The batter must hit the ball into fair territory by the sixth pitch or
the batter is out. If the batter fouls
the sixth pitch, the batter will get another pitch.
Roster
batting order is to be used. All players
will play defense in each inning.
Violation of the participation rule can result in forfeit of the game.
The
team-playing defense must stop the runner from advancing or get an out to stop
play. The defense can throw the ball to
the (CENTER CIRCLE) or the pitching coach to stop play. All runners will then be forced to the base
they were going to or coming from, depending on the halfway mark. The umpire shall be the sole authority to
determine which base the runner shall be awarded. Only the Umpire can stop play, by calling
time.
Home
Team has the official book and occupies the 1st base dugout. Scorers should verify the score between
innings and have the umpire sign the book in the event of protest.
All
games will be 75 minutes, in duration. A
half inning will be determined by three (3) out or 7 runs which ever come
first. No inning should start with ten
minutes or less on the scoreboard clock.
Games called due to rain shall be official if 3 innings are complete.
The
time limit of 75 minutes will be on the scoreboard clock. If the scoreboard is inoperative, the umpire
will keep the time on the field and notify each head coach of the starting
time. The umpire has sole control of the clock once the clock is put in motion.
Tie
games count as ½ game lost and ½ game won.
NO PARENTS are allowed
on the playing field during a game. The
playing field is for the coaches, Umpires, and Players. Violators will be asked to leave the park.
INFIELD
FLY RULE – The
infield fly rule will NOT BE
observed in this league.
Protests
are handled at the field with the clock running and play will continue when
resolved.
Umpire
decisions on outs, runner placements, coaching positions and coaching
interference are final and are not subject to protest. All players must be in proper uniform during
play and coaches must have a uniform shirt.
